Octogen (aka Marco Bernadi) will be dropping his first release of 2008 ‘Gindofask’ on Soma Quality Records on 25th August 2008.

I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview via promo and what I can tell you is that there is a fantastic mix of Drexciyan style electro, Black dog tinged early 90s techno, UR detroit sounds, Phuture 303 chicago melodies and a whole lot more. Simply loads of things I love about classic electronic music enhanced in a contemporary album. Highly recommended!

Two juicy items of news from the Warp camp today.  Firstly Squarepusher will be returning with a new album later in 2008.  A sneaky preview can be heard on their myspace here, and the man himself will be performing at both ATP and Manchester’s stupidly massive party ‘The Warehouse Project’.  Find out more info about this on Warp’s website here .
