You may or may not have seen the funked up world of David Firth and his creation Salad Fingers, well a new episode has finally been launched. It is available on NewGrounds here.
If you’re unfamiliar definitely check out the creepy back catalogue and also the fantastic Milkman short which has Aphex Twin’s track of the same title.
David Firth’s site is here –> www.fat-pie.com for his deranged goodness.

Underworld have completed their fifth studio album, Oblivion with Bells with an expected release date of 16th October on Ato Records. The first single from the new album, “Crocodile”, was released on September 5, 2007. An EP entitled Crocodile has also been releases in Japan (lucky people).
A full world tour has been announced to support the new studio album. Currently, tour dates in the United States, Europe, and Japan are scheduled for this fall, with more shows expected in the future.
The single sounds promising and I’m looking forward to checking out the EP when I can get my hands on it.

I have only picked up little snippets here and there about this story and I hope it’s rumours but who knows at the moment…
Snippet 1
Well, MF Doom was a no-show again at last night’s New York-Tokyo Music Festival. This is starting to get commonplace for Doom, but here’s where things suddenly get pretty ominous: Pharoahe Monch came on and held a moment of silence, saying Doom was hospitalized after having a heart attack.
Snippet 2 (this was posted on the Stones Throw message board)
I got your message and I understand what you are saying about falsely reporting DOOM had a heart attack without a shred of evidence, however, I never said that DOOM died of a heart attack. I said that he was hospitalized due to complications of asthma and that it was rumored that it may have been a heart attack. The announcement of the asthma complications came before Pharoah Monch’s performance by Kenny Muhammad who was MCing the show. Then Pharoah Monch came out and had a moment of silence and a prayer for DOOM which everyone did. Somewhere along the lines there was talk of a heart attack but no one including myself ever said DOOM was actually dead.
I am huge fan of Stones Throw and all of their artists especailly DOOM. I still listen to Madvillain all the time and it is one of my all time favorite album. I’ll be seeing Percee P October 7th at Nokia and got my tickets already for the Stones Throw Showcase on December 2nd at the Highline Ballroom.
I apologize for the misunderstanding but I was just reporting what happended at this particular show. I would appreciate it if you could leave this post up so that people that got the wrong impression from my previous post can get the correct news.
Also, can someone let us know what exactly is going on with DOOM???
The message was then deleted by mods of the board.
If the rumours are to be believed we hope you get better soon Doom!

There’s a great video interview with the Chemical Brothers at remixmag.
A really interesting interview which gives us an insight into the making of their new album “We Are the Night”. They discuss which synths were used for which tracks, with around 30 synths in their arsenal I’m surprised they can remember!
If you would rather read the interview in full please click here.
