Word from the big man himself - here’s the link to the new Buck album, in ‘authorised leak’ style. It’s the first in a series of three, and the rest will come shortly. I can safely say that this is absolutely insane.
Some of the best music I’ve heard for a long, long time and those who were into Vertex (so most people!) will find a lot to enjoy here.It flows as a non stop track, and there is just so much happening and well, I’ll leave the rest to you!It does have some guests - there are two people I’m not familiar with at this point (although I believe the woman is Claire Berest, she was on Secret House Against The World), as well as Doseone. And me!
I made the intro using beat parts he sent me and the track that comes in at 23:00 (on both, I edited the pieces he sent and added the rest, whether it was cuts, more edits or basslines or whatever - I’m still stunned that I was a part of it… There will be more to come too!).
So get it and enjoy! It destroys. You’ll like it.Here’s ‘Dirtbike’ (1/3)
Octogen (aka Marco Bernadi) will be dropping his first release of 2008 ‘Gindofask’ on Soma Quality Records on 25th August 2008.
I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview via promo and what I can tell you is that there is a fantastic mix of Drexciyan style electro, Black dog tinged early 90s techno, UR detroit sounds, Phuture 303 chicago melodies and a whole lot more. Simply loads of things I love about classic electronic music enhanced in a contemporary album. Highly recommended!
Two juicy items of news from the Warp camp today. Firstly Squarepusher will be returning with a new album later in 2008. A sneaky preview can be heard on their myspace here, and the man himself will be performing at both ATP and Manchester’s stupidly massive party ‘The Warehouse Project’. Find out more info about this on Warp’s website here .
Secondly, the circuit bending, brain boxing, vocal distoring maestro himself, Tim Exile has to be signed to Warp and will be releasing a new album in 2009.
My Downfall (Original Soundtrack) is an album by breakcore artist Venetian Snares. The title is in reference not to an actual soundtrack but rather the soundtrack to Aaron Funk’s downfall. It is said to be a follow-up to the 2005 album Rossz Csillag Alatt Született. Aaron was quoted as saying, “This album has nothing to do with dubstep and very little to do with breakcore.“
If it has anything in relation to Rossz Csillag Alatt Született I am a happy chappy.
